In a discussion with reporters at Mobile World Congress, Google's Andy Rubin, Senior VP of Mobile and Digital Content, laid to rest the persistent rumors that Google was considering opening up retail stores of its own to compete with its brick and mortar rivals. Signalling a definitive end to the speculation about the company's plans, Rubin said, "Google has no plans and we have nothing to announce."
