DayZ has helped sell a ton of copies of ArmA II. This has resulted in the development of a standalone version of the zombie survival game by Bohemia Interactive and DayZ creator Dean "Rocket" Hall, and throughout its development both the studio and Hall have been very open about the development process. Previous blog entries for DayZ have detailed the way the studio is redoing the environments and insides of buildings, and the newest shows how the studio plans on improving the mod's often-criticized animations.
Instead of simply speeding up the pre-made animations like it is in the mod, the standalone version of DayZ will feature new animations, some of which are captured by Dean Hall himself.
