As if the comics industry doesn't have enough problems in terms of building readership and taking advantage of the growing digital market, piracy remains a constant concern. And piracy has seemed to become even more of an issue in recent months. It's common for scans of most new issues to be uploaded on various torrent websites the day they're released in stores and via digital providers. But lately, several high-profile comics have been acquired and scanned days or even weeks ahead of their release. Most notably, Amazing Spider-Man #700 leaked last December, and Batman #17 hit the Internet several days ahead of its official release this past Wednesday.
