Last week on Arrow, on the episode "Betrayal," Oliver's island flashbacks introduced us to the DC Comics character Slade Wilson, played by Spartacus' Manu Bennett.
But what were we to think? From the comic series, we know Slade as Deathstroke, and yet we'd seen Deathstroke on the island as a hired mercenary for Fryers. And then came the reveal of Slade's mask - the same Deathstroke mask worn by the man who tortured Oliver. Well, Slade had an explanation for that and tonight, on the flashback-heavy episode "The Odyssey," the mystery will unravel as Slade takes it upon himself to train Oliver so that the two of them can lead a necessary assault.
I spoke with Manu Bennett about tonight's exciting episode, our chances of seeing Slade off the island and the likelihood of seeing a Deathstroke vs. Deathstroke showdown.
