Rovio has announced that Angry Birds Trilogy is headed to Wii and Wii U. The news comes along with the announcement that the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Nintendo 3DS versions have sold more than one million units worldwide.
"It was certainly satisfying to see Angry Birds gameplay adapt so well to other platforms in 2012," said Rovio EVP of Games Petri Järvilehto. "The features specific to the Wii U are very intriguing to us, so we're excited to release this version to fans."
Angry Birds Trilogy features Angry Birds, Angry Birds Seasons and Angry Birds Rio re-made from the ground up in HD. IGN spoke with Rovio director of development Kalle Kaivola about Angry Birds Trilogy, so look out for much more once we publish our interview in the coming days.
